An existing non-linear course can be duplicated by loading an existing course first and then pressing the ‘Duplicate’ button in the top-right position of the course form. This way, everything in the existing course (so the course details and nodes) are cloned into a new course. After duplication, the duplicated course is just like a newly created course and edits won’t affect the original course it was duplicated from.
This feature is very handy if you want to create a course that is fairly similar to an already existing course. This way you don’t have to redo all the nodes again for the new course but duplicate an existing course and modify it accordingly.
By default the duplicated course gets a ‘Copy of’ prefix, but of course all the course details can be modified and saved afterwards. Also the original role settings are duplicated, so, take notion of that, if you want those differently.
