Scene view

The Scene view is opened by pressing the ‘Edit Scene’ button on a node. This is a 3D representation of what the node looks like when it is running in the app on the VR headset. Obviously it is not actual VR itself but a 3D/spherical representation to allow editing in 3D space on a regular computer.

Inside this scene view is where the actual look of a node as it would appear in the app can be designed. It is where all the answer images and scene elements can be positioned on their desired spot. On the right there is a side bar showing all available answer images (in case we’re editing a Scenario Question node obviously) and available scene elements (if they were added). They can be added to the scene by pressing on the ‘plus’ button next to these answer images or scene elements. Then they will appear in the scene and they can be selected and re-positioned or scaled in 3D space. Orbiting around in the 3D scene can be done by click and drag with the mouse somewhere on the background.

In the scene view also the starting point (the red sphere with the eye icon) can be positioned. This is the initial direction the student will look at when the question starts in the app, so be sure to position it in a way that the student looks in the right direction towards e.g. answer images or scene elements or the intended direction of a 360 image or video.

Finally, the scene view is separated from the node editor underneath with a separation bar that can be moved up or down to expand the size of the Scene View or node editor for pleasant viewing back and forth.
